How to Make Kara Age



Kara Age or Japanese Fried Chicken is one of the most delicious meals at a Ramen r Japanese Restaurant.

Kara Age goes well with lettuce, salad, and rice.

You can order the Kara Age by itself, or with delicious rice topped with lettuce Japanese mayonnaise and Barbeque.

I got inspiration for this recipe from binging on Kara Age Don every time I go to a Japanese Restaurant.

But if you're like me and you don't have the budget of 12 dollars every day to satisfy your cravings,

 then you will have to make it yourself.

Ok let's start,

You will need the following ingredients:

Boneless Chicken Thighs

Soy Sauce

Sakki

Sugar

Potato Starch

And minced Garlic and grated Ginger

Let's get started.

First, grab a bowl and put the chicken thighs inside, and add them Sakki

Second, add the soy sauce and mix the boneless Chicken Thighs

Third, add salt and pepper to the chicken and stir

Fourth, let it marinate for at least an hour so the chicken thighs can absorb the flavor

Fifth, after you are done marinating, get two eggs on a separate bowl, crack them and stir until yellow.

Sixth, add the yolk to the Chicken thighs and stir well.

Seventh, on a separate bowl, add Potato starch and mix the marinated chicken thighs on the Potato Starch.

Eighth, get a small pot and fill it 1/4 with oil, I recommend Vegetable Oil as it doesn't take the flavor away from the chicken,

However feel free to use whatever oil you prefer.

Ninth, after you see it fry for 3 minutes take it out and put it on an oiled rack,

then after the oils drops out fry again for another three minutes.

Tenth, after that, take a big piece of lettuce and put it on a plate, and on top add the Kara Age.

You can top it with Japanese Mayonaise and Barbeque

You can also serve this with white rice.
